I’m very happy to announce that Particulars has picked up two awards at Freeplay 2013: Best Narrative and Best Audio Design! Excitements! Technically these were the only two we were nominated for, so that’s a 100% conversion rate. However, as nominees we were also eligible for the Best Game and Audience Choice awards, and we were soundly beaten by Framed and Turnover for those prizes. Both are very cool games which you could check out if you get a chance! We also had lots of people play the game, and got some useful feedback. Thanks very much to Harry Lee and Katie Williams for the huge amount of work they put into the show! Here is a photo of our game being projected into a tent for some reason.
We’ve also had a nice boost on Greenlight, thanks to a combination of your continued support and Valve pushing another round of games on their way to the great green store in the sky. We are now sitting pretty at #82 (of 1,420 games on Greenlight). As nice as it is to have cracked the Top 100, we still have plenty of work to do. In order to maintain our place in the list (and hopefully continue to climb it), we need the votes to keep coming in, so we have a few promotional things planned for that. Stay tuned. Of course, if you’d like to vote now, just search for us in Greenlight, or do it in-browser at http://greenlight.particularsgame.com.
Last (but far from least), we are showing Particulars at EB Expo in Sydney this weekend. If you’re going to be there, please come and say hi at the Surprise Attack stand (in the Homegrown Gaming area). Better yet, enter this Alienware/Gamespot competition and win a laptop! All you have to do is play five specific games at the show, including Particulars (see link for full details).
