Iron Dev is an experiment designed to help SeeThrough Studios speed up development and get some games out the door – or the electronic equivalent of a door, anyway. We’ve split into two teams to develop two separate games in the short time-frame of six weeks.
The goal? Make a better game than the other team. The rules? I’m glad you asked:
- Each team will build a complete game over six weeks, and release it to one or more app stores. The games will be judged, and the losing team will bake a cake for the winning team.
- Game development will begin at 9am on Monday the 10th of September and must end by 5pm on Friday the 19th of October. The games will be launched simultaneously by November 30th, 2012.
- While developing, the teams must share their processes openly with the public.
- Each team will receive a budget of $350, which may be supplemented by donations from the public.
